About Us
Our Story
Indian Run Preschool began in 1989. Our program has grown as a ministry of Indian Run United Methodist Church, and we are proud to serve the Dublin Community. Currently, we have 130 students and 14 teachers in our program.
Our Mission
We provide the children with a Christian and Play-Based program giving an exceptional learning experience to all our children. Our program runs from September through May, and we offer various classes depending on your child's age. Our children attend either morning or afternoon sessions 2-5 days a week. The child's day may be extended by attending Lunch Bunch for one extra hour per day.
Staff
All staff meet and exceed ODJFS (Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services) qualifications and are trained in Child Abuse, Communicable Disease, First Aid, CPR, and an additional 6 hours per year in Child Development, Ohio Early Learning Content Standards, or other related topics.
All the staff have degrees, with the majority in the field of Education or Early Childhood, and some also have Masters levels of Education.
We are a licensed center under the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
Sue Fouts
Director of Indian Run Preschool
Sue has been a part of our staff since 2016; She has served as director for one year, and prior to that was a Firefly teacher, movement teacher, and a substitute teacher. Getting to know all the children of IRP and their families has brought Sue great joy in her role as director.
Sue was born and raised in Cincinnati. She graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph with a BA in mathematics and secondary education certification. She has a background in education and publishing.
Sue married her husband, Bruce, in 2000. They have three children; two that attend Dublin Jerome and one at the University of Cincinnati. Her two younger children attended Indian Run Preschool, where they have fond memories of their first years of school.
